Kuala Lumpur, June 25, 2024 – Bursa Carbon Exchange (BCX), a subsidiary of Bursa Malaysia Berhad, successfully conducted its first auction of renewable energy certificates (RECs) today. This marks a crucial development in Malaysia’s journey towards cleaner energy sources. The auction featured Hydropower RECs from the vintage year 2024 (HRECv24), generated by the Murum Hydroelectric Plant in Sarawak.
