Government Introduces Tiered Pricing for Green Electricity to Boost Renewable Energy Adoption

Kuala Lumpur, April 8, 2024 – The Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA), has unveiled a new tiered pricing structure for the Green Electricity Tariff (GET) program, aimed at promoting renewable energy adoption across Malaysia. The program, set to a quota of 6,600 gigawatt-hours (GWh) this year, introduces lower rates to incentivize users to transition towards green electricity sources.
