Malaysia Sets September 2025 for Euro 5 Petrol Rollout to Boost Air Quality

Kuala Lumpur, November 14, 2024 – Malaysia will commence the rollout of Euro 5 petrol in September 2025, marking a pivotal step toward reducing air pollution and enhancing fuel standards nationwide. Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability, Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, announced that the full implementation of Euro 5 fuel will be completed by 2027, in line with the Environmental Quality (Control of Petrol and Diesel Fuel Contents) Regulations 2007.
