Lynas Malaysia Sdn Bhd, the Australian rare earth mining firm, has been granted a six-month extension by the Malaysian government to carry out cracking and leaching (C&L) activities until December 31, 2023. The decision was made to avoid any disruption to the global supply chain of rare earth materials, according to Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Chang Lih Kang.
