Malaysia’s Renewable Energy Industry to Benefit from Lifting of Export Ban

Malaysia has lifted its ban on renewable energy (RE) product exports, paving the way for a greener future, according to a joint press conference held by Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli and Natural Resources, Environment, and Climate Change Minister Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad. The decision to lift the ban was made in response to the growing global concerns about climate change and the need to transition to sustainable and renewable energy sources. The move is expected to benefit companies in Malaysia’s RE industry and create more job opportunities for Malaysians. The ban on exporting renewable energy was imposed in October 2021
